About
MultiFactor Authentic is a public home for documenting technical ideas, experiments and lessons learned across networking, security, systems and automation.
Purpose
The aim of this site is to keep useful technical work written down in a way that is clear, practical and safe to publish. Some notes may be small project summaries, while others may become longer write-ups about a specific topic or experiment.
The focus is not on presenting finished products as if they are perfect. The focus is on showing the thinking behind technical work: what problem was being explored, what approach was taken, what worked, what did not, and what could be improved next.
Focus areas
Reachability, monitoring, routing, wireless networks, VPNs, DNS, service checks and practical troubleshooting.
Authentication, access control, public network risks, defensive thinking and safer system design.
Small scripts, dashboards, repeatable workflows and ways to make operational tasks easier to manage.
Approach
The public side of this site is intentionally kept high-level and sanitised. It can cover concepts, project goals, design decisions and lessons learned, but it should not expose private systems, live operational data, credentials, customer information or sensitive configuration.
That makes the site useful as a public portfolio and learning space while keeping the more detailed operational side separate and private.
In progress
The first version is deliberately simple: a homepage, an about page and a blog-style area for project notes. More posts and project write-ups can be added gradually.
